Leading global technology company OPPO has brought to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia the 2024 edition of its global mobile photography competition, the OPPO imagine IF Photography Awards, empowering smartphone users in the Kingdom to unleash their imagination and creativity to share with the world the essence of the Saudi life and unique spirit of the country through amazing photos captured with OPPO smartphones.
Themed “Envisioning Your Moment”, the inaugural Saudi edition of the imagine IF Photography Awards 2024 features four different entry categories, covering Landscape, Light, Portrait, and Collection. Each category aims to inspire users to share their most compelling stories and emotions captured through the lens of OPPO smartphones to show the world the diversity and magnificence of the Saudi natural landscape; the interplay of light with architectural marvels along the nation’s journey between the past and the future; the faces, tales and human threads that knit the societal tapestry; and the spiritual and cultural depth of Islamic tradition that echoes the profound soul of Islamic heritage of the country.

Submitted photos must be captured using an OPPO smartphone of any model. Only photos in JPG, JPEG, PNG, DNG, HEIC, and HEIF format are accepted. The submission should not be smaller than 1000 pixels in width, and the size of a single photo should be larger than 1M and not exceed 20M. The photos should not be altered in any desktop image processing program such as Photoshop and Lightroom. Moderate post-processing on the photos is permissible, such as adjusting the brightness, contrast, white balance, saturation, etc. Composite images that change the original content of the photo are not acceptable. Submitted works must align with the theme and will be considered under the OPPO imagine IF Photography Awards 2024 by default. Each submission should include a title and a caption.

Imagine IF – Arabia Imaging Tour
As part of the OPPO Imagine IF Community initiative, OPPO recently presents the ‘imagine IF Arabia Imaging Tour’ in Morocco. Led by OPPO’s Imaging Technology Director, attendees embarked on a journey to experience OPPO’s camera prowess while exploring the stunning routes. Through the ‘Imagine IF Arabia Imaging Tour,’ OPPO aims to foster a deeper connection with its audience while celebrating the artistry of mobile photography.
The tour included the participation of influencers from many countries around the world, including Saudi Arabia. Saudi-based tech influencer Ahmed Al Zahrani, Founder and owner of the famous “Saudi Android” website and accounts on social networks, documented the tour and took amazing photos using OPPO phones, an experience on which he commented by saying: “In colorful and blissful cities such as Casablanca, Tangier, and Chefchaouen, I captured amazing photos using my OPPO Find X7 Ultra. In its second global edition, the competition features a world-class judging panel including renowned photographers and iconic figures in the contemporary photography who will be judging entries for the chance to win a grand prize of USD 24,000 and international exposure opportunities for their creative work.
