Genesis Middle East & Africa unveiled the newly designed G80 luxury sedan in Oman on July 16, 2024. This model represents the brand’s balance between tradition and innovation, showcasing its continued commitment to superior design, advanced technology, and top-tier hospitality.
To commemorate the regional debut of the redesigned G80, the Korean luxury automotive brand hosted an immersive unveiling event in Salalah, Oman with key media representatives. Held at an exclusive, custom-designed venue, the event showcased a profound experience in a stunning setting, perfect for the launch. The evening featured the unveiling of the redesigned G80 in the Royal & Sport trims, followed by a gala dinner and celebratory performances.
The G80 has undergone a comprehensive redesign, staying true to the brand’s “Athletic Elegance” design philosophy. Featuring refined details, cutting-edge technology, unparalleled comfort and style, the newly redesigned G80 is set to shine as the luxury lifestyle partner for life’s most brilliant moments.

The exterior of the G80 features a new dual-mesh design that accentuates the sophisticated look of the Two-Line Crest Grille, while the iconic Two-Line headlamps equipped with Micro Lens Array (MLA) technology further emphasize the Korean brand’s firm focus and dedication to combining advanced technology with elegant design. The 20-inch five double-spoke wheel design contributes to a dynamic aesthetic, reminiscent of an aircraft propeller, creating harmony with the parabolic line of the car’s side profile. Rear diffusers with hidden mufflers sport a distinctive V-shaped chrome trim inspired by the Crest Grille, reflecting an eco-friendly aspect of the sedan in the age of electrification.
The interior of the G80 maintains the spirit of Genesis’ design with its distinctively Korean concept of the Beauty of White Space, blended with state-of-the-art technology to create a distinguished ambiance for users. The 27-inch-wide OLED display seamlessly combines the cluster and AVN (Audio, Video, Navigation) screen in a horizontal layout, extending to the center fascia to enhance its high-tech sensibility. The touch-based HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) system offers drivers ease of control, while the redesigned crystal-like Shift By Wire (SBW) ensures a comfortable grip and adds a feel of luxury.
The G80 Sport edition offers a dynamic and sporty appeal with its double-layered Crest Grille and expanded air intakes. Exclusive interior packages include a D-cut steering wheel and carbon garnish options, enhancing driving sensibility. The G80 Sport 3.5 turbo engine model is equipped with Rear Wheel Steering (RWS), enabling smoother maneuvering and enhanced agility, while the Electronic Limited Slip Differential (E-LSD) ensures stable control during high-speed driving.
The luxury sedan is equipped with a suite of advanced safety and convenience features, including Remote Smart Parking Assist 2, Lane Following Assist 2, and Fingerprint Authentication System. The three-zone HVAC system allows for individualized climate control, ensuring a comfortable ride for all passengers. Additionally, it offers two powertrain options: a gasoline 2.5 turbo engine delivering 300 horsepower and 43.0 kgf·m of torque, and a gasoline 3.5 turbo engine producing 375 horsepower and 54.0 kgf·m of torque. Enhanced driving dynamics minimize road noise and improve the overall luxury driving experience.
