SMSA Express Strengthens Cyber Resilience with Commvault Cloud

Commvault, a leader in cyber resilience and data protection, today announced that SMSA Express, a leading logistics provider in Saudi Arabia, has enhanced its cybersecurity posture and operational efficiency with Commvault Cloud. By implementing Commvault’s cyber resiliency platform, SMSA Express has reduced costs, strengthened data security, and ensured business continuity amid rising cyber threats.
SMSA Express, which operates across 230 countries, sought a secure and scalable solution to replace multiple backup tools that increased costs and complexity. With Commvault Cloud, the company achieved a 25% reduction in cybersecurity costs and 35% savings in data storage requirements, enabling the IT team to maintain multiple copies of mission-critical data efficiently.
“One of the main reasons we selected Commvault was because it could meet our strict encryption and data storage requirements,” said Kashan Khalid, IT Manager at SMSA Express. “With Commvault, we’ve significantly improved our cyber resilience, reducing storage needs and ensuring data protection in any scenario.”
SMSA Express partnered with Sigma IT to deploy Commvault Cloud across AWS, Azure, Oracle Cloud, and its on-premises data center in Riyadh. The solution’s military-grade encryption and advanced data deduplication met the company’s stringent security standards.

With a recovery time objective (RTO) of four hours and a recovery point objective (RPO) of 24 hours, SMSA Express has strengthened its business continuity strategy, ensuring rapid recovery from cyber incidents.
